The official deadline has come and gone, we still have room for more skaters in our meet, so with the blessing of the IMSSC, we have extended our entry deadline for the 2nd Masters Sprint games to January 9th.
You can see the Entry list here, over 10 countries, over 100 skaters. (there are a few countries entries, like the Russian skaters, that are still in process, we are working hard to make sure they have the right invitations & VISA’s for travel).
Also there is no more country quota limits, so registrations are completely open.
This is going to be an amazing event. Come one, come all to the fast ice at the Pettit and the international camaraderie that is International Masters Speedskating.
p.s. Dear Canadian Masters, I got this entry deadline extended thinking of you especially.
When I saw that there were more people registered from Finland than from Canada, I knew that we as organizers had not done a good job at reaching out & letting you all know what was going on.
Our meet will be lesser without a strong Canadian presence. You had such an amazing bunch of folks in Calgary in 2007, I hope to see many of you, our North American skate family, in Milwaukee.
Here is Canadian sprinter & 2 time Olympian Pat Kelly, in the process of breaking the Masters 500m record in Calgary-
See you in Milwaukee!
-Andrew, Olu, Bruce, the Pettit National Ice center, & the whole organizing committee.

What is an internationally attended masters event like?
It’s hard to describe unless you have been to one, but here is the best I can do- a video produced of the 17th Masters Speedskating games, in Erfurt, Germany.
It “feels” about right for these large events. In the atmosphere, as well as the fun that is had after people finish racing. The feeling is the best blend of serious, and just skating because you love it.
Both online entry forms for the 2nd Masters International Sprint Games, and the Salt Lake City American Allaround & Sprint are now live at the IMSSC website.
The Salt Lake Allaround and Sprint will be the previous weekend, January 30th and 31st, and will be an opportunity for the international Masters community to race on the fast ice of Salt Lake City the weekend preceding the Sprint Games. That entry form is also live.
